J. Henry Sienkiewicz

This book was a really fun and creative way to look at life. I was not sure what I was diving into when I picked up the book, but I was glad I did. This time of year is perfect for this book for sure!

Sienkiewicz did a great job of creating this world for us to journey through as we saw the "tangled" bits of life. Then, in a truly unique way the reader gets to see things become untangled! It was just so innovative and amazing to read each chapter and think more and more about my list of things "to do" and the things around me that I find important.

This read is just what I needed to get through the busy holidays, and I know it will be a breath of fresh air for anyone that reads it as well!… (más)

This is a unique read as it goes along with the author on a journey and takes simple acts and interactions and creates a deep and thought-provoking book about our individual lives. One that really stood out was the rope. They put the rope neatly into their bags but when they needed it, the rope was all a mess and tangled up. They had to untangle it. The author related it to life. We have things laid out nice and neat, but life is not like that. We find ourselves dealing with a mess despite our best laid plans.

I liked the fact that each chapter was short as it allowed me to read the thoughts and then sit on them. I'd think about them throughout the day and then some before going on to the next chapter. You will not fly through this book though you may start off with that mindset. Once you start reading, you'll discover that you have to take your time as you find glimpses of pearls hidden away you need to stop and dig for.

This would be a great book for a book club or to read with a friend. I highly suggest it. No matter what you do in life, this book will have gems that you can discover and value.

A great collection of thoughts and ideas to untangle you from the diversions in life. It's written in kind of a diary or journal style, mixed with textbook knowledge, which makes it seem more personal and intelligent. His sentences are short and to the point that gives it that psychology textbook feel to it.

Almost everything you can think of is brought up in topic throughout this book. It will teach you about self-awareness and understanding everything around you. There are many things I took away from this book.

Our journey through life doesn't necessarily guarantee transformation or change. Our journeys are only as good as what we give ourselves.

Interactions are based on the exchange of stories. It gives us the chance to look back and understand the importance of ourselves and others.

In order to contemplate our daily activities to achieve the responsibilities in life. Part of life includes fear which is our perception of a threat, it's protective and makes us aware of the dangers in our life.

I somewhat enjoyed parts of this book. There were some parts that I just couldn't get into. Besides the over use of the word, untangled, and the minor spelling errors this was an okay book that I would rate a 3/5… (más)
