Cookbook contains a generous selection of dishes for making bentos. The "effortless" part refers to recommendations on how to freeze/refrigerate and rewarm items in order to provide variety. Ingredients used are heavily Japanese and so a lot of these dishes are not easily accessible where I am in America. Uses both Imperial and metric measurements.

Recipes tried:
Chicken gratin- very good, will be repeating this one.
Marmelade chicken- good
Curried chicken wings-- very good, would be fun appetizer for a party.
Vinegar pork- too much trouble for a dry, tasteless result
Yellow pepper kinpira- good
kabocha purses- good
carrot salad- not to my taste

So somewhat of a mixed bag in my opinion. I plan to move on to the pickled veggies and tea-infused apricots but for now I am giving this one 3 stars.

DECORATIVE MACRAME: 20 STYLISH PROJECTS FOR YOUR HOME

By Shufunotomo

An excellent book to learn how to do decorative macrame for yourself or gifts.

Directions for 20 projects are listed, I am not per se a macrame person, but I do appreciate new techniques and the ability to cross over with them into other projects in my life. Highly recommend.

Much thankfulness to #shufunotomo @shufunotomo #edelweissplus for the complimentary copy I was under no obligation to post a review.

Not quite the book I'd hoped it would be, but it still taught me a thing or two. Nice descriptions and illustrations/photos.½

Origami project from easy to difficult are included in this book. Unique and useful projects are included. I especially enjoyed the projects which could be used as containers for gifts as well as the envelope projects. I would have given this 5 stars if this book was not in paperback format. Having it as a paperback made it a bit difficult to have the book completely open in order to following the origami instructions.I had to use my cookbook easel while crafting with this book. A spiral or lay-flat publication would have been most welcome!½
