Fairly standard continuation of the adventure started in book 1. No major surprises, but successfully maintains a decent blend of adventure and action.

The horse growls, then howls - really? other than that complaint the structure was ok - not the greatest I have read but could be a lot worse. The main character feels unusually lucky, character development is medium. Overall though it does a nice job of not getting un-necesarily graphic (a failing of too many titles these days) and it isn't ugly as it tries to hard to be realistic. The boots feel like too precise of a match for the character, but all in good fun :-)
