This book is about measurement in the software engineering process, and not - as one might guess from the title - about measurement of software artefacts. The book feels dated: more than half the book discusses models and methods that were clearly already outdated when the book was written. The supporting topics related to building models and performing analysis are either overly formal or too terse to be useful, while an insufficient number of pointers to other works is provided.
