A good popular history of the Royal Australian Navy's clearance divers. Their origin in WWII disarming German mines and bombs, as well as the courage of the men involved in this very hazardous duty. The start of clearance diving and the rebirth of clearance diving in the fifties. It looks at both peace and war as well as some of the personalities involved. Vietnam, Kuwait and Afghanistan as well as counter terrorism are included. My only criticism would be that the book is not critical, nearly everything has a positive spin. It's still a good and informative book worth reading, just remember that not much of the negative is included.… (más)
