NOTE: I was selected to review this book as part of the Library Thing Early Reviewers program (January 2020).
Sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction, and when you're a plumber, there's never a dull moment. Abby Ross takes readers inside the secret world of plumbers through a series of first-person narratives from several members of the profession. In reading this book, I developed a newfound respect for the hard work that plumbers do to help keep the world go 'round. The Poop Diaries by Abby Ross This is a book with lots of strange, funny, odd, embarrassing, and weird stories from real life plumbers! It's not all about poop but it's certainly about plumbing! Very strange things they find plugging up pipes, strange people they encounter in homes and work places, odd things that happen to them while working, and more! They make good money but they sure make good stories too!
The Poop Diaries is an eclectic collection. Some stories will have you laughing so hard you'll be crying, and some will just touch your heart. With a wide range of plumbers, from all kinds of backgrounds, Ross has managed to create a collection that will bring a smile to your face (even if at times it does turn your stomach)! In these tumultuous times this is a beacon of happiness for a few hours of escape.
