Wow. This series has taken me on such a ride, and I've loved every minute of it. The previous book setup this one in an interesting way - what happens when you take 200 year old vampires, and throw them back in teenage bodies in a different timeline? New problems, and some interesting questions. Like, are the people they knew in the other timeline the same in this one, or are they different. Same names and bodies, but new personalities? That aside - I loved the new set of antagonists. We get introduced to them right away, and my interest was immediately piqued. Rosendorf does an excellent job of drawing you in and keeping you held captive with a great plot and amazing imagery. Even though many of the characters have magic, they all feel so real. I won't spoil anything, but if you've read the first three books and enjoyed them, then you won't want to miss this latest installment!… (más)

This is the third installment in what is easily one of my favorite series. It was so nice to dive back in with Zack and Isis, but oh how far they've come! Although 200 years have passed since book two, it's easy to slip right back into the rich, magic and paranormal filled world Rosendorf has created. The challenge facing them now is a race through history, trying to set reality back on the right course, and it's a captivating journey every step of the way. It really is hard to put this down once you start, and although this is geared towards the young adult crowd, older readers will easily get wrapped up in this story. The plot moves along smoothly and swiftly, and the characters are a delight. Highly recommend!… (más)

Witch's Gamble is book 3 in the Witches of Vegas YA series and you would definitely want to read the first 2 so you know who all the characters are and why they are in their current situation. I was a bit surprised that the book opened with 200 years passing since book 2 but it weaves into the story perfectly once the action gets going. Isis has a troubling task ahead of her and even with the experiences she's gained over the years it's still difficult for her to overcome and outwit Valeria. Being able to travel through time you'd think it would be easy to defeat her but there are plenty of challenges that keep Isis wondering if she'll ever be able to save her loved ones and the world.

YA is sometimes too over the top for me to love a book or series but The Witches of Vegas perfectly captures the teen voice making the series an enjoyable break from reality. I recommend this series to anyone who loves YA with a light paranormal twist.

This book grabs you right from the opening. I was excited to read the continuation of Isis's story, with Zack by her side. I'd have to say this one was even more enjoyable than the first, with a pacing that had me flying through it in two sittings. There were enough twists to keep me guessing, and I have to say Mark has absolutely outdone himself this time. Although this is a young adult novel, it's enjoyable for older readers as well. If you're looking for a wonderful, magical adventure, that you won't want to put down, then look no further!… (más)
