Book 3 in story of Jefferson Tayte geneaology mysteries. This involves trying to discover why his good friend was murdered. His friend was trying the real heir of Queen Anne to prove that the current heir is an imposter. He is and Kate, whom he was introduced to by his murdered friend, are trying to complete his friend?s project. They become the targets of the people who murdered his friend,Marcus. A very fast-paced story. A fun read.

American genaeologist goes to England to try to find a client?s family who returned there from the USA in 1803. In the process he discovers that the family did not survive and the name was taken by an imposter and held onto thru present day. The name was taken by two brothers who wanted to take over a titled name. The proof of their being the wrongful heirs lay in a special box that had been passed down through their generations. The story kept one interested.

Not my favorite Tayte book, but I am really bummed that Robinson seems to have dropped this series. It is kinda lightweight and probably too niche for him to build a career on it, but it's by far the strongest entry in genealogy-themed mystery series. Most of them are more like cozies, which I do enjoy, but this series is heftier - like a cozier version of the mystery thrillers typically populated with political operatives or academics.
