This is a very clever, creative take on a story we all know well from our Sunday school days. It all concerns the fall of mankind—yes, Adam and eve and famous garden where it all occurred. In this book, we find Eve with the serpent Bart, who tempted her to eat the famous apple (or whatever fruit it was). They conspire to find Adam’s first and mostly forgotten wife and her book, all in current times. How about the forbidden fruit? Did or does it exist? In this book, we find the one-time biblical personages transformed into modern day characters. The book does an excellent job of providing a good mix of biblical figures, mythological figures, basic ideas and dogma we all learned so long ago, with the fallout being a seriously humorous and entertaining satire on it all. I found myself chuckling along as I read through this wonderfully creative and interesting book. Anyone who enjoys a good satire on life and some of those things we hold as self-evident, known worldwide and the gospel truth will enjoy this book. It held my attention with storyline, creativity and entertainment. I am sure anyone would enjoy reading this—but only if ready to look at many things we all hold near and dear in a new light and who can accept things with a grain of salt and in a humorous way.
