The Vesper watcher is creepy. I enjoyed the snippets of what the rest of the family were up to while Amy and Dan were on the Clue Hunt. Not much happens though, just a brief glimpse of each potential Vesper member; the triplets, Ian, Jonah and Hamilton (which Hamilton really? He does not seem like a good choice at all.). 3 stars.

This snippet shows Grace's funeral from the point of view of the rest of the family. I enjoyed the insight into the rest of the Cahill family. Hamilton Holt is still the best family member besides Amy and Dan - he has a conscience. And frankly in this family that's a damn miracle. I'm curious to see how Astrid Rosenbloom fits into the story. Cousin Ingrid was an imposter? Who's a Vesper? Ooh. Drama. And Hamilton Holt saves the imposter not the Cousin. Woaha. 3 stars.

Short read featuring the reason behind Grace's decision to enact the Clue Hunt. I enjoyed Amy and Dan in action, but the rest was pretty average. Not long enough to rate better. 2 stars.

Woaha, Dan's on fire. And this was very Home Alone. I would've liked to have more of a resolution, but it was an action packed little novella. 3 stars.

It started off sad (and man do I feel sorry for Amy and Dan who are both crazy overwhelmed and terrified) then it got upbeat and happy with lots of family feel good moments (I particularly loved Jonah's chicken dance! ) and then Astrid's passed. Poor Atticus. What a sucky way for it to end. 3 stars.

Ian has such an ego. Amy will be thrilled his crushing on her? Really? Although he is trying to be a better person - lol "growing a conscience from scratch is hard going". Poor Bickerduff (the butler) getting the blame for doing what he's told. I enjoyed this one, although I was disappointed that Ian decides not to visit Amy - I can never quite decide if I like the idea of them together or not. Ian is a total mess - sometimes good, sometimes bad - and I find it hard to decide if I like him or not. But I do feel sorry for him and Natalie, growing up with his family must have been tough and being all alone now, even more so. 3.5 stars.

Short snippet into the events after Vespers Rising. I was sad that Dan and Amy were fighting over how to deal with things. I have to say I probably would be favouring Amy's approach of planning ahead and training over Dan's there's nothing we can do plan. I liked that all the Cahill kids reunite - I would've liked it to be longer to see more interaction. 3.5 stars.

A short chapter book spanning three different generations of the Cahill family and following the fate of a particular painting. Fast paced and action packed, this is a good, quick read and also gives some insight into the background of Ian and Nathalie Kabra, along with their cold-blooded mother. It was also nice to see Grace playing her part.
