This is a nice story about a reunion of two men who were caught in a "compromising" position ten years earlier.

Mike ran away because he couldn't deal with his father's accusations. When he returns ten years later for work, he not only finds Donis still waiting for him but without recriminations. They pick up where they left off and Mike's father apologizes for his earlier behavior, removing the last obstacle (in Mike's mind).

While I found the situation and people's reactions to be somewhat unlikely, Mike's and Donis's relief at finding each other again and their joy about starting a relationship came through and was enjoyable.… (más)

Review:

TALK DIRTY TO ME was a fun read. I love the age-old story of girl meets brother’s best friend and secretly adores him from afar until one magical night … that is kind of where it ended for Blake and Lily. Generally the girl falls hard and goes all swoon-woozy over said guy, but this time Blake was the one in trouble. So he did what every guy does that can’t confront their true feelings … he disappeared … and broke Lily’s heart. Jack ass! Why can’t guys ever just deal? ARGH! Take a chance for a change! But I will say in Blake’s defense that he had a couple of valid concerns. First, their first time was Lily’s first time. And Lily had just turned 18 so she was pretty young. Blake didn’t want to scare her and didn’t want to tie her down so soon. Then there was the chance that getting away from her would calm his desire for her. *snort* Well, it was a theory.

Long story short, Blake does the disappearing act a few more times over the years and Lily has had enough. Now her brother is getting married and Blake is coming back for the wedding. She plans to avoid him as much as possible, but then her brother drops a bombshell. She has to pick up Blake and keep him with her for a couple of days until the wedding because he is stuck out of town at work. Avoidance plan out the window. Check.

Lily ends up psyching herself out and picking Blake up. She chants mantras like “He’s just a man” and silly things like that to calm her desire that flares the moment his name is mentioned. Care to guess what happens as soon as she sees him? And let’s not forget that Blake secretly adores Lily too. Well, they don’t even make it out of the parking lot of the airport. These two steam up the pages in no time flat. Despite her inability to tell Blake no, Lily struggles with how to let him go, knowing the realistically he will disappear once again in a few days.

But things are different this time. Something seems … not quite the same. So Lily tests Blake at the rehearsal dinner. Part of her is getting back at him for screwing her brains out a few short hours prior to flirting with the buxom slut next to him at the dinner and the other part stems from a devious side that wonders if Blake really even cares. Game on! Lily’s grab-ass dance partner wastes no time in annoying Blake enough for him to bolt away from the table and snatch her away. And Blake has a devious side of his own in executing Lily’s punishment for baiting him. *waggles brows*

But the conundrum is yet unresolved. Will Blake disappear into the night after the wedding as he always has, or will Lily be able to force him into admitting his true feelings before he vanishes? And if te worst happens, will she be able to survive him leaving her once again?

TALK DIRTY TO ME was a hawt read! I mean, as much as I could never talk dirty myself, hearing such graphic sexual phrases whispered into your ear is beyond stimulating. Blake and Lily have a great connection and quickly draw the reader in to their world of love and loss. They are a believable couple and within pages I wanted them to be together forever. I also enjoyed that Blake and Lily have a history so they don’t have to waste any time becoming acquainted with their preferences. They just get down and dirty in a hurry. For a quick, entertaining read, this book is exactly what you need to pass a couple of hours.

When I find a new author, usually I buy his backlist, if it’s not too long. And so it was with Stone Richards, Friends with Benefits was one of the story I bought, but I didn’t read it since there was something in the blurb that didn’t convince me, like it was not a romantic story. And it was strange since what is more romantic than a story set in Paris? Probably it was the ménages a trios thing, as usual I don’t like too much ménages, even if it is among three men. But in Friends with Benefits the ménages is not so relevant, it’s true, Ty and Hal have sex with another man, Pierre, but Pierre is more or less like a sexual toy, someone who joins the couple for a moment, but it’s not part of their story.

Ty and Hal are friends and colleagues, and also lovers. They are friends with benefits, or at least it’s what Hal is repeating inside his mind: he is in love with Ty, but he fears that, if he let come out the word “love” he will loose his friend, and so he takes all inside. But when he is preparing a project abroad, with a sojourn in Paris, maybe the city of lovers influences him, and the day before his leave, he has a misunderstanding with Ty, and he leaves alone. For all the travel he goes over and over his story with Ty, and when it’s the moment to land in Paris, he is more than sure that he loves Ty and that he wants to have Ty with him.

Reading all this, the reader understands that, when Pierre enters the scene, he is nothing important, there is no love feelings towards him, not from Hal or Ty. Pierre is nothing more than a friend who helps them to get together, and in the meantime he enjoys a detour with them. He is pretty open about it, he doesn’t expect anything more than some enjoyable hours together.

The story is less than 20 pages long, and probably the most interesting thing is to have an insight of how a ménages can be, how it’s possible to part love from sex, how sex between friends has some level of intensity, and instead sex between lovers is something completely different, more deep and satisfying.

Mitch is a 30 years old successful realtor. He has his own firm and apparently a good life. But he is alone: his parents died in an accident three years before and since Mitch spent all his life denying to be gay, he has no one near him as a partner. And he is not doing anything to change the thing. Instead he accepts to do the esteem of a mountain cabin in Colorado during the Christmas time to allow all his employees to be at home with their families. But the day before his leaving, Mark, one of his employee, asks him if he can tag along; when Mitch asks why he has no other plan for Christmas, Mark candidly admits that he was disowned by his family for being gay... like that, plain and simple, without fear, Mark is claiming what Mitch has no courage to do.

It's also clear that Mark has plans for Mitch, very personal plan, and when they arrive to the cabin, Mark declares that he is Mitch's Christmas Toy and that the man can do everything he wants with him. At first Mitch is reticent, but then, faced with the possibility to explore all his hidden desires, he surrenders.

I have to say that all in all I like the story, even if I don't like so much the almost analytical way in which sex is described. True, Mitch is new to all the matter, but sometime I almost had the feeling to read an 'how to do' manual; and then, when both Mark and Mitch punctuate all the salient moments... well sometime, I prefer the sex to be silent. Anyway, as I said, the story is good, and the sex, even if loud, is sometime also original: the first time of Mitch in the snow, well you can say that it will remain an unforgettable moment for him. I like that Mitch didn't fall for Mark at the first occasion, but makes the man works for what he wants; Mitch is in denial, but he knows that, and he first needs to accept himself and then he can accept Mark. And I like also Mark's attitude, as he step by step coaxes Mitch into surrender. Probably if the author pushed a bit more on romance, and a bit less on sex, this would be a really good first taste of a new author (new for me).

By the way, very nice cover.
