Raquel Reyes-Major

This was given to me by the author several years ago. I recently came across it and decided now was the time to read it. The book is a memoir of a period from the author's early years, when she was a young woman working at a Christian collage in the Philippines in the 1960's. It is a solid documentation of the founding and growth of a self-supporting ministry which began in rural Cotabato (in the Philippines). Raquel describes many of the people instrumental to the development of the ministry and later on includes a "where are they now" section. A few chapters are written by some of these colleagues. This is a quick read, which focuses on Raquel's experiences but there were times I would have liked more details and description.… (más)
