What a wonderful way to show a child that everyone and everything, even a penny wants to be valued. Penny has laid in a drawer for so long. All she can do is wonder what is outside her drawer. She is given to a customer, then sold, only to be dropped into a purse. She just wants to be useful. This happens when a child finds her. We take so many things for granted. I remember a time when people would throw pennies in the gutter or just on the ground because they didn't value them. Often children feel this way. They feel they have no value or purpose.
