This is a great book for reading to young children or teaching rhyme/ poetry. This book is not only includes the traditional "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star", it also includes "Start Light, Star Bright," "Wee Willie Winkle," "Are You Sleeping," "Jack Be Nimble," "Hush, Little Baby," Diddle, Diddle, Dumpling," "Rock-a-Bye, Baby," "Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear," "Come, Let's Go To Bed," "I See The Moon," "Red Sky at Night," "Now the Day is Over," "Girls and Boys, Come Out to Play," Goosey, Goosey, Gander," "Hey, Diddle, Diddle," "Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John," "The Man in the Moon," and "All Through the Night."
This book, as you can see, has a wide variety of nursery rhymes/ poems to choose from. This is a lovely illustrated book with pastels and soft colors. The children I read this to enjoyed it very much and even asked a few questions.
A possible classroom extension activity for this book may be learning about poems or rhyming. You could possibly have the children write their own poem or just have a literature circle and discuss what rhymes, etc.

This book is excellent. It is a great book for young readers to sing-a-long with on long car rides or even before bedtime. It definitely is not hard and it is great for interacting with young children to have fun.

This nursery rhyme is also very popular and it is known as a childrens song as well. Many parents sing Twinkle, twinkle little start to their babies to comfort them and put them to sleep. It should be used for babies and toddlers and help them get use to singing and gettin involved with music.

This book is a collection of other nursery rhymes. The one i am focusing on from this book is Hickory dickory dock which is very short and simple, the rhyme starts, "Hickory, dickory, dock! The mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck one, the mouse ran down Hickoru, dickory, dock." There are many differnt versions of this nursery rhyme and it is a nonsense poem about time. It could be useful for story time for a preschool kindergarten level. It can be used to introduce rhymes nad different sounds to younger kids and could be used in a song format to bring life into the classroom.
