Really useful on recent trip to Osaka and Kyoto. The walks in the cities are well described, and you can always make your own diversions.The maps could be a hell of a lot better and could also do with a few pictures. Lots of useful hints on how to behave in Japan, Ps&Qs.

This was an invaluable guide for my trip to Hong Kong to meet Nancy in 1993, and fun to use. I can't see ever going back, but I keep it out of nostalgic affection.½
