As a writer I don't like giving poor reviews but this book was a disappointment. The constant double hyphen/em dash style was difficult to read, the characters were shallow and inconsistent and too much time was spent on extraneous details (I really don't care what brand and scent of shower scrub, shampoo and body spray a character uses. I especially don't want to read these details every time a character bathes or applies scent or make-up).I was also disappointed by the lack of vampires. I realize that it can take awhile to introduce the paranormal element of a novel but this book may have been more interesting if something had happened earlier in the story.Not bad for a quick YA read but not something to reach for if you're looking for an epic PNR novel.… (más)
