Very organized detailed book about an unsolved murder in 1974. The author clearly shows the guilty person charged was able to be found not guilty. The book was easy to follow and like how the photos weren’t all placed in one section but shown as needed to go along with what was written.

While good intentioned, this book is helpful for a narrow lens of teachers. The most helpful part of the book is the ideas around important behaviors a floating teacher needs to succeed. In other areas typically only one way of doing something (such as organizing) was offered and often these didn't pertain to many teaching positions.

I found The Floating Teacher to be quite a good book. I am not a teacher, but several of my family members and closest friends teach school, mostly middle and high school. I like learning about teaching ideas, habits, and problems so I can more fully understand their work! I discussed the material presented with two of them and they thought that it had merit.

The tips are useful and she presents a good attitude about making the best of a frustrating teaching situation.

I thought that this book was okay. Some information was helpful. I found the blurb on the categorization of teachers amusing. Other than that, a lot of the book was common sense. After reading this, I didn't feel any more informed as I did before reading it.
