More quotations from the original texts would have been helpful. They're surprisingly readable, especially the writings of Zhuangzi. While this reads like a self-help book, the authors do make some effort to place Chinese philosophy in its proper historical context, and to demonstrate that there were many different schools of thought in Warring States China, as opposed to some sort of monolithic "Eastern mysticism." I only wish these philosophers could have met and debated with their ancient Greek contemporaries.… (más)
