A Darkness In The Eye por M. S. Power
Memorably made into a dramatic tv series, the trilogy on Ireland by Powers is strangely ignored at the moment. He is one of those very powerful writers who can thrill a reader but also educate. This third volume is probably no better than the other two, but when writing is this good it seems ludicrous to get into a football league rating. All three are astonishingly eloquent books, and it is my belief that Power will power back into recognition. He certainly deserves to.
