Clear, concise, and correct.

This was originally published in 2007 and is still entirely relevant today. Reading Eat Stop Eat after Jason Fung makes clear that not only Jason Fung's arguments but also his whole perspective and philosophy around fasting come from Brad Pilon. Perhaps Fung has done a better job evangelizing, but everything Fung says is all in here, a decade earlier. Perhaps one point of difference is that Fung also embraces high fat keto diets because they are low on insulin stimulation. There may be other pieces that Fung has come up with, but this is definately the core of it. And you can read Pilon in an hour.

Absolutely fantastic. A pioneer.

(Nb I read the original edition, not the expanded and updated edition.)

This hardly counts as a book, it's more like a white paper and takes less than an hour to read. I didn't know much about the Intermittent Fasting fad^H^H^H movement and this served as a good of an introduction as any, I suppose. His primary focus was on weight/fat loss which isn't of much interest to me but I do think it is interesting to think about how our metabolic processes are victims of our consumerist culture.
