Magenta Phoenix

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. I may revise on a second reading. Good plot, but some editing issues. There were many threads left hanging, but it doesn't feel like a cliffhanger. The hanging threads were more personalized than usual which is uncomfortable. Interesting premises but the inherent control and violence factor keep it from settling in combination with the above. I will be interested to see any sequels.
