This is probably the only book available to deal with the issues around supporting disabled people to have a fulfilling sexual life. Written by Tuppy Owens, creator of the Outsiders Clubhouse, a social and dating community in the U.K., this book covers everything from dating safety to hiring sexual surrogates or discussing sex with a personal attendant.
I have to admit the thought of having someone outside of the couple helping insert tab a into slot b was an uncomfortable thought. On the other hand, people with disabilities remain sexual people, and orgasm can help with painful spasms, etc.
This is a good resource to start talking about sex and disabled partners or patients. How DOES one arrange quiet time in a care home? How can people manage to pleasure themselves or others if they have limited mobility?

It is an important topic, often skirted around by health care providers. Time to open the discussion.
Much of the book is Brit-centric, so some of the resources might not be available, but the discussions and the webpages are worth a look.… (más)
