This is a really good, concise guide to copyright for information professionals. If you work in the public sector it will explain principles like fair dealing and library privilage in a way that's easy to understand. For those in the corporate sector it explains how copyright is licensed in the UK (basically that different organisations negotiate different agreements with the CLA - you need to check the terms of your license). It's also good in that it explains differences in the law for different media. Issues around digital rights management are set out pretty clearly so that it's easy to use as a reference for your setting and the media that you are using. The book is well indexed and laid out (like many Facet publications) so it is easy to dip in to the bits that are relevant to you and skip the rest. That said it's pretty readable too so you could read it cover to cover if you want to improve your background knowledge.… (más)
