All the good things I said about Hikaru Noguchi's earlier book on mending (Darning: Repair Make Mend, 2019) apply to this one too. Maybe even more so.
This book is deceptively simple and very, very useful. Do I know how to darn and mend clothes? Yes I do. Do I know all these techniques? Not quite all. And even for those I am familiar with, the step by careful step photos will help me to improve my technique. Does this book's careful, methodical focus on real repairs on real garments give me inspiration and ideas about how to apply these techniques? Absolutely, very much so. Every darning/mending repair job is unique and it's refreshing to find a book that recognizes it.… (más)
