Even though I do not have children or am able to I really wanted to read this book. Nowadays it does not matter where you go there are screaming out of control children of all ages. This book had wonderful approaches on how to handle all stages of childhood. I loved the part about the terrible twos, it just makes common sense. There were big portions of the book that reminded me of how children used to be raised and how I was raised. "In spanish they do not have a word for spoiled, just badly raised." She writes in the book about positive attention and how much of a success it is. True. Like she says in the book "we all thrive on a little kindness, attention and sincere flattery".

Every person should have to get this book if they get pregnant. Than use it as a guide.

I enjoyed this book until I realized that the author was pulling from all different religious beliefs but making it look like it was Christian based by using Bible stories. I much prefered Renner's "An Elephant in My Living Room" which is a similar subject but taken on straightforwardly.

Check what you read in this book against what you know to be true in The BIble.

Touching His Robe was a very well written book. It's thought provoking and is a vital tool in understanding the emotions that go along with abuse. The author uses personal stories and bible references to tell her story. Interesting read for anyone who is an abuse survivor or if you just know someone who is.

This book is a great inspirational book that can come a long way in helping survivors of abuse. The author goes into great detail in how her faith was tested and she endured many dark days to help her realize that she was not able to be as faithful as she once was, but was able to see that she was still able to use the faith that she had to help her heal. This book can help someone that has been abused realize that it is not their fault and they can one day learn to accept what has happened and use it to heal and restore their faith in God as well as humankind.… (más)
