We are all going to face death at sometime in our life. There is nothing more certain than death. Taxes can be avoided but death cannot. The author covers the legal, financial, and medical questions around death that we all face. This is a must have reference work for everyone who must face issues surrounding death. The book contends that there are three basic issues we face before we kick the bucket: Issue number 1 Who are you? Concerns your past experiences ,your family and your wallet. The second issue is; What are your choices? Looks at the medical choices, palliative care, and legal choices we are faced with. This is one of the most complex and comprehensive parts of the book. It is written in clear and concise prose so that anyone can understand the terms used even if they are not a medical or legal professional The third issue: What are problems? Deals with internal and external problems. Internal problems are those issues that relate to ourselves and family : pain and suffering, dysfunctional families, and health insurance issues. External problems refer to issues around the complexity of medical care; the hospital bureaucracy, medical errors, malpractice, and the cost of care at the end of life. The final, chapter addresses how to learn from other peoples experiences. By far this is the most personal and relatable part of the book.
