I was a bit concerned that this Feeding the Frasers by Sammy Moniz would be filled with super healthy recipes that needed a bunch of special ingredients, but that is not what this cookbook is about at all. Instead you will find recipes that you actually want to make and probably have many if not all of the ingredients for already!
We had been planning a New Year’s Brunch and I kept finding yet another recipe that I wanted to make for it. Who wouldn’t want to come to a brunch were you were served Sausage Buttermilk Biscuits, Pecan Waffles with Maple-Bacon Butter, Carrot Cake Steel-Cut Oats with Cream Cheese Yogurt and Honey Glazed Pecans, Grilled Stone Fruit and Honey-Basil Salad, Salted Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Sweet Grass Cake (Winter Citrus Olive Oil Cake)!! And there were at least 10 more recipes that I wanted to make too.
Not only are the recipes delicious and (for the most part) pretty easy to make, but each recipe has a paragraph with a background story on how the recipe came to be, and there are gorgeous photos throughout the book.
Even if you’re not an athlete you will find lots of winning recipes in Feeding the Frasers.… (más)
