Brian Milton

This book was everything I had hoped it would be. Too often I have been disappointed by books which either delve deeply into the development and production histories of respective aircraft, but describe little of their operational accounts. Other books focus almost exclusively on the pilots but have little to say about the machines they flew or flew against. Brian Milton has done a fantastic job at striking the perfect balance. No World War Two aviation buff should miss this one. It is too bad that few "knights of the air", as the men Milton interviewed, are left so that more such books could be written that tell the story of other warbirds as well as this one did. Hurricane: The Last Witnesses is a wonderful tribute to the men and machines which played such a pivotal role in winning the Battle of Britain and in other theatres of the war.… (más)
