In PLAIN JESUS we learn a little of the events regarding the Last Supper and Jesus' crucifixion. When I read the description I thought it would be discussing things such as the angels appearance to Mary in detail as well as the histories involved with the authorship of books such as Acts. Instead, very little is mentioned of the appearances Jesus made after his resurrection, but the author does go into detail of his reasoning as to why the gospels are incorrect. I would have found the latter interesting had I been able to read both sides of the issue. The author does admit that he had taken very few notes and most of the research done was that of others, which may explain this lack of balance.
Through numerous compound complex sentences and a politicians debate answers, the author attempts to prove his point of view. I found the writing dry and more than once found myself skimming the pages in hopes of closure.… (más)
