I'd never heard of Tentacle Kitty prior to spotting this title on Edelweiss - but as soon as I finished the ARC, I found the strip on Tapas and subscribed. While some of the stories ("Tale of the Green Cotton Candy Mice," told from the titular Tentacle Kitty's perceptive) skewed a little young for me, I really enjoyed the artwork (a pink kitten with tentacles, what's not to love!?) and overall premise.

Tentacle Kitty and her found family live on a space-faring whale ship in an alternate universe in the distant future. Flush with a stash of super-rare Earth tea, the group holds a tea party, in which they regale each other with dramatic tales of bravery (some embellished, all involving cotton candy mice).

My favorite by far is "Mumble Mee (or the White Tuna)," a Moby Dick-esque tale of Pirate Kitty's pursuit of a giant tuna. Only the rival captain is Pirate Kitty's mom, and the Mumble Mee the tuna is already confined to a can.… (más)
