Olivia, a human, and Ivy, a vampire, are twins. However, they were adopted by different families. Both want to know about their birth parents but it seems as though very little information is known about them. Now Serena Star, star of The Morning Star news program, starts snooping around believing there is something sinister happening in Franklin Grove and she is out to expose it. Will she? Will others learn that Olivia and Ivy are twins? Will their parents learn of it?

I enjoyed this quick read. I like the differences between Olivia and Ivy but I like that they know of each other. I appreciate that they help one another also. Their personalities are different but compliment each other. I wish Ivy's father did not dismiss her wanting to find her birth parents. She took the initiative to find them but there's a mystery there.

I look forward to reading more of this series to get my questions answered.

YA series of two teenagers who meet in school then realize they are sisters. I enjoyed this story. I liked how they were opposites and needed to help each other with these differences. I liked the setting of high school and how the girls have very distinct personalities and attractions to and from others. It was fun to read as they get in and out of situations. I look forward to reading the rest of the series

I acquired this from a library book sale and intended to read it, even though it's way below my age level, and then donate it with other YA and children's books to the local library section where I live. Reading it now and trying to clear it off the shelf, I was surprised to find I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Written for a middle school age, it's cute, quirky, and has an interesting plot-line and characterization for that age group.

When Olivia moves to a small town, she discovers a long lost twin sister who ends up being part of the "goth" crowd. Into cheerleading and sunshine herself, the two start exchanging roles and tricking different crowds in order to get revenge, dates, and just see how far they can carry the roles. The twists were simple but charming, the writing style well done, and thankfully for the age group the writer avoids any melodrama. There are humorous changes with common slang to mean the opposite, a somewhat endearing bonding of sisters, and a lighthearted ending.

I think this is a fantastic book due to words and language used. I recommend this book to 12-15 year olds due to the language used. This book is about a vampire sister that is going from primary to secondary school. Her sister travels from America to London to get more acting opportunities and she contacts her sister online. The vampire sister is called Ivy and her sister who is totally not a vampire is called Olivia. Ivy's best friend get humiliated when she puts on a sjow each time she goes to a skate park and changes from a vampire to more of a human. Ivy's also in shock for Ivy's best friend. When they go to the new school they realise the goth people are normal in the school and the human people are the rare people in school. The goth people are apparently bullies. Ivy's sister has to work with her ex-boyfriend Jackson but then she still likes Jackson!

This is the last (6th) book of the "My Sister the Vampire" books. It is filled with incredible discoverires and nice endings. This book also takes place (mainly) in Trasilvania. That's where the twins (Olivia Abbott & Ivy Vega) go to meet their grandparents for the very first time. It begins with Olivia and Ivy waitting for Jackson (Olivia's boyfriend) in the mall, and ends up with Ivy stocking Brendan (Ivy's boyfriend) because he's shopping for stuff for her. Throughtout all the packing the girls wonder how their grandparents are going to be like and wonder if it won't be so akward for their dad (since their dad was forced to leave because he loved a human). When they got there, *it was too fancy. Thought Ivy* People were wearing fancy clothing, the house (mansion) was packed with fancy rooms and it was gigantic! The sisters meet their family, and their family's friends. Olivia loves the place and lifestyle, whil Ivy is the complete opposite. Ivy is less at ease with all the royal dinners, fancy clothes, and endless curtsies, it's definitly NOT her style. But in the end getting to know everyone a little better and fixing (love) problems it all works out. Ivy finally feels at home. *Maybe here in Transylvania isn't that bad...*

I think this book is absolutly positively spectacular!!! I ♥ it! I acually love all the "My Sister The Vampire" books! Although I didn't think it would end (the book) like that. How they'r still inTransylvania. I would think that they'd go back and, maybe if Sienna Mercer (greatest author in the world!) had written a 7th book, show their royal family Franklin Grove. Now that would have been killer (awesome)! I wish Sienna Mercer (#1 author in this planet) had written more than just 6 books of "My Sister The Vampire". She should (great idea!)!!! She could also make hr books into movies! Or even...a SHOW! Yes, I can see it now, on my TV "....next on afn/family is 'My Sister The Vampire'..." I would totally be the biggest fan (for sure!)!!! WOW! What if i could star in it?! Fangtastic! I would LOVE to cast as Ivy, because she's my favorite character! Well if anyone's reading this, please oh please read "My Sister The Vampire" books! Trust me you'll love them (like me)!

Olivia and Ivy (identical twin sisters) finally told their parents and all their friends that they are twins! Just to think all this time they have been switching back and forth to practically fool nearly everyone. The sisters are soo happy they had found each other, and they are convinced they should find their 'biological parents' as well (why not?). But, looking for them isn't all sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows they actually have to do some risky stuff, but it's all for a good cause, their REAL parents. Although they are trying to find out, Chalers Vega isn't really into wanting to meet Olivia. *What?! Ivy hesitated* Both girls have broken into a secret place to find files of their parents (Karl and Susannah, or Mr. & Mrs.Lazar). Sadly, the mother died at age 34, of giving birth to both Olivia (bunny=human) and Ivy (vampire). But their dad is still alive! Vampire officials finally find out what Olivia and Ivy had done andwant Olivia, since she's a bunny, to pass three tests just to prove tht she really truly is worthy of shring the secret. Of course in the end, Olivia passes the Blood Secret. But this wonderful story is not through, yet. There happens o be a shocking twist at the end. Olivia and Ivy found out who their dad really is! ...Karl Lazar was disguised all along as Charles Vega, to cover up his identity, since he broke the Second Law of Night (don't fall in love with a human). It's time to get the secrets straight and all the twists to an end.

I really loved this book. Like, all te other books of the series "My Sister the Vampire". They just fill your brain with unique stories and deep secrets. I bet Olivia and Ivy (from reading this book) were really, super, duper, happy when they found out who their parents were. At least they reveal the secret about them being twins and all. That's got to take some gut (brave)! These twins don't give up that easly, either. They keep searching for the truth of a secret and won't rest (well, I gess you could count actually going to sleep as resting, but anyway) until they do. I guess Ivy and Olivia can really get through anything if they stick together and try!

NO! Ivy's moving! Why, oh, why is she? Well, I'll tell you why. Let's take a look back, and review this book, shall we? Ivy's dad decides to move to Europe, right after Olivia passes the test (Blood Secret). Could that be why? Why, yes indeed it is. Distracting their dad is harder then the sisters taught (especially if he doesn't know that they know he's their real dad). Slowly and slowly, everyine is running out of time to spendwith Ivy. This can't be happening! Ivy had to move soon, but she really didn't want to and she knewher dad didn't want to move, either. *So, why move? Is what had puzzled the twins mind for a long time* It's not just for a job, that can't be all to it. Begging, convincing, throwing parties all doesn't change Charles Vega's mind about moving, not one bit. Until the girls spill the beans, and so does he. Admitting can be hard at some points, but when you get it all out, it's like you've just gotten happier to know that there are no more secrets (keeping Olivia, Ivy, and their dad apart). Ivy is stayingin Frankil Grove with her family! It turns out she's not moving, and netheir is her father. Oh, what a happy day! Ivy is meant to stay with the people she loved!

What a great book! I mean really. You (whoever is reading this comment) should really read the "My Sister theVampire" books! ♥I just can't get enough of them!♥ It's harder to describe it in words on a computer website the it is by just simply, reading these amazing books. Once you're done, it's like you never of wanted it to end so soon. Well, the saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover," can be actually used in a positive way for these books. Because their covers are simply cool! So if you were possibly judging I would think you'd say something like this, "I'm reading it!" And I would ♥LOVE♥ to hear that!

Now it's time to "Take Two" with the twins. (hahaha, you get it? it's part of the title. anyway...) Ivy and Olivia's (biological) dad has to go on a trip to Dalls, Texas, for some construction thing, for his work. That means Ivy gets to stay at the Abbott's house (Olivia's house) for the whole time. Hollywood REALLY comes to Franklin Grove! The directors and producers are fillming a movie with Jackson Caulfield (BiG movie star, girls love him) in it. This thrilling book is mainly about...MAKEiNG A MOViE! Just kidding, that's actaully only part (well, yes it is what this book's about, if you want to be technical and all) of the story the main part is Olivia finding the right boyfriend. Since, ♥Ivy and Brendan♥ are really hitting it off, Olivia might of gotten a little bit jealous, oh, but that doesn't last for long. Not only that, but Ivy stumbbles into what might be the truth about this famous teen sensation (Jackson). Falling for him isn't so hard when you're Olivia. She's had a big time crush on him for a long time. As for Ivy, she thinks he's just another bunny (human), but is he hiding something from Olivia? Trying and trying to find proof... Ivy finally pats herself on the back when she found three clues that can answer whether or not Jackson is a...VAMPiRE! Throughout the movie business stuff Sophia (Ivy's best-friend) and Ivy accidentally end up as the background people (you know the people you see in movies that are actually just practically the background, ex. 'regular people in the cafe' that have nothing really to do with the main characters, know what I mean?). Slipping a laugh at Sophia's drawing of Charlotte being bossy, again, Ivy couldn't stop the laughter. Jessica Phelps, noticing this, throws her last tantrum and leaves the movie as it is. What?! That means there's no body to play the part as Mia (the girl Jackson or Chase, which is his part, falls in love with)? *Wow, I did this, I made Jessica quit? Ivy thought* Going to the auditions isn't a day in the cemetary for Ivy. She even has to, switch with Olivia to go to her audition for the Mia's part in the movie, because Charlotte was trying and succeded in making Olivia have to miss the first auditions for the next big role (Charlotte told Olivia that Ivy was mad and at the mall). Ivy, poor poor, Ivy. Not being able to memorize lines, is something Ivy fears (and happens). Would Ivy mess up real bad and ruin it for her twin? Shock by Ivy showing up, Charlotte thinks she's really Olivia. Messing up Olivia's audition is something Ivy does really well, until as always good luck accurs. Paparazzi barge in because of Amy (Jackson's manager). *Thank darkness! Ivy was relieved* Olivia came at the perfect timing! Switching back to their regular selves, Olivia and Ivy were both happy that they foundout that Charlotte lied. The last part of the audition went smoother, then the begining because now Olivia was the one who had slipped in the audition at the last moment, before the paparazzi had left. *Phew! That was a close one!* Perfect, perfect, perfect! The audition had gone great! *Yay! thought the sisters* As the six lucky girls were announced that might get the part of Mia; Camilla, Olivia, Sophia, Ivy and Brendan all wished Olivia luck. Then, it was announced that Olivia...MADE iT (she was one of the six girls, including Charlotte)! Everyone, even Jackson was thrilled with the news. After that, Olivia heard something that she taught she would never ever hear in her entire life...Jackson asking her out. *Yes! Of course, yes! Olivia was soo happy* It worked, Ivy's plan worked (which was trying to get Olivia to go with her dream boy), but hold up! There's something else that doesn't leave Ivy's head, 'what if Jackson really is a vampire?' Then, what? Olivia said she always wanted a NORMAL boyfriend, but what if she found out the truth about Jackson? 'Look, Ivy, you can't just tell Olivia that Jackson is a vampire, without any proof! Hello! What if he's not?' is the thing Sophia was trying to get into Ivy mind. Ivy's response was pretty much, 'Oh, I'll find proof. I just can't help feeling that Jackson really is a vampire.' Rummaging through Jessica's trailer, gave Ivy more clues to this 'Jackson = vampire?' thing. Looking out the window and into Jackson's trailer, Ivy spotted something in particular. Jackson wears contact lenses! All vampires wear contact lenses, because their eyes are purple (and if the paparazzi saw that, well then sooner or later they'll think somthing's going on...uh maybe VAMPiRES EXiST!). *Aha! Ivy was really convinced that he was a vampire now* First, Ivy saw the food manager's paper and it said that Jackson can't have garlic (vampires can't have garlic). Second, Ivy discover Jackson wears contacts (vampires wear contacts). Third, Ivy finds out that Jack son uses a special spray tan (vampires are pale), so Jackson must be pale, too. If he was a regular skin tone then Ivy thought, "He would be orange." All this evidence convises Ivy to go on and tell Olivia. *Oh. Olivia started to tear up* "I guess I should tell him I know." Then, Ivy tried to make it better by agreeing and giving her "best-twin-sister" a hug. *Well, here it goes, time to call it off. I guess Jackson and I really weren't meant to be. Olivia had thought as she sat on a bench in the cemetary. Olivia had decided her first date with Jackson was at the cemetary to prove to him that she wasn't scared he's a vampire, and wanted to tell him she had already knew from ahead of time. Meanwhile, Ivy and Brendan go to the BloodMart (it's conected to the FoodMart, but it's for vampire use only) and cruise down an aisle to stop and find... JESSiCA! Ivy started to turn pink (when vampires turn pink that means they are about to faint, like when bunnies-I mean humans turn white). Brendan noticed, quickly and asked, "Are you okay?" Just then, Jessica came closer and closer to them, but hadn't spotted them, yet. Ivy explained to Brendan that that girl (pointing at Jessica) was Jessica (the one who had quit the movie). Facing Ivy and Brendan, Jessica quickly asked them, "Do you want my autograph?" Without waiting for their reply she snatches a box of something on the aisle and gives it to them. *What? what could Jessica be possibly doing in the BloodMart? And how did she get in? Ivy was confused. Jessica's a vampire!* Seeing the look on her face, yes, Jessica admitted she was a vampire. While telling to two of them, Ivy stoppped her and asked in a non-desperate way if Jackson was a vampire. Jessica simply responded ........ NO. *Jackson's not a vampire! What have I done? Ivy felt remorse, knowing that Olivia was going to break up with Jackson.* Jessica ended up, finally saying that she was taking her place back in the movie because of the "paparazzi". *Ow, poor Olivia, she had wanted really wanted that part. Ivy couldn't help but thinking of Olivia right now. Olivia! Oh, no! Olivia was going to blurt out the First Law of Night (don't tell anybody that vampires exist)! We have to stop her, and quick!* Dragging Brendan along, Ivy ran to the cemetary as fast as she could (Ivy and Brendan had to sprint all the way from the BloodMart to the cemetary, with no time to spare!). *Don't say it, Olivia, don't say it!* Olivia finally (after waiting a little) spotted Jackson disguised as the same police guard as he did when he gave Camilla, Olivia, Ivy, and Sophia an escourt around the movie set. *This is going to be though. Olivia really didn't want to end it with Jackson, it just began!* Sitting on the bench, Olivia and Jackson started up a conversation. Sorta like this, "I have bad news that you might not like," Jackson said. Then, Olivia would reply with something like, "I already know, and it's fine with me." Jackson would say he "couldn't control what's happening", and Olivia would say "you don't have to hide who you are" and "I'm not scared". At one point Jackson got confused. *What? He thought.* "Are you talking about the same thing I'm talking about?" he asked. She answered with a yes and told him, he wouldn't have to waste his breath in trying to explain to her. *Um, okay. He thought.* "I know that-" right then and there Olivia was stopped by Ivy, who was shouting, "Hi!" *What is Ivy doing here? Olivia wondered.* Brendan was standing next to Ivy panting for breath (jeez, they had to run all the way here, with not even a break). Getting inbetween Jackson and Olivia, Ivy introduced Brendan to Jackson and Jackson to Brendan. While the boys were saying their "hello's" =, Ivy tried to tell Olivia that Jackson wasn't a vampire, by mouthing, "Not a vampire!" and making bunny ears on the top of her head to symbolize Jackson=bunny (human). *Jackson's not a vampire! Olivia had caught on.* *Thank darkness. Ivy had made it just in time!* After, that news flash, Jackson told Olivia what he was trying to explain to her, that Jessica's taking her part back. *But..but...Olivia couldn't believe it* Brendan and Ivy walked off with Olivia and Jackson following right after. *What a day. Ivy thought* The next day, at the Abbott's house (Olivia's house) Ivy and Olivia's (biological) dad had come back from his trip. Ding, dong! Guess who that was at the door. Yep, Jackson had gone straight up to Olivia's front door step and out came Olivia. With Ivy spying on them, Olivia and Jackson started to taked again, until Olivia realized how cold she really was since she was outside without a jacket on. Right after, Jackson had told her that she waws choosen for Mia's part, if Jessica hadn't come back, and he had offered her another part which was a big deal for Olivia. Inviting him to come in, Olivia caught Ivy spying. Jackson introduced himself to Olivia's family and asked if they could fill out the paper work that says 'Olivia can be in the movie' and stuff like that. Agreeing to this, Mrs.Abbott asks if the wanted lemonade, and finds out that Jackson was a vegaterian. *So, he's definitally NOT a vampire. Ivy thought* Jackson asked one last thing, if he could take Olivia to the movies, and as nice as her family is they said yes, and so did Olivia. Everyone walked into the kitchen for snacks and lemonade. Sitting on the floor, Ivy knew today is going to be a good day, until she saw on her dad's suitcase with an airline sticker that read, "LAX" .Which stood for Los Angelos. *Las Angelos! Ivy's mind was puzzled at the moment. Is there another secret?* In the middle of her thought, her phone rang, and it showed a text from Brendan asking, "Everything all right, now?" Ivy replied with, "I'm not sure..."

I think this was a killer book! There is soo many surprises throughout the story. Soo many secrets all in just 196 pages! Although it's got a bunch of lovey dovey stuff in it, it's really a good book. Flipping through these pages made me think *Starring in a movie would totally suck*(translation: totally awesome). Yes, I know I had written a lot about the book, but I hd to tell all the readers out there what this book contains (pure awesomeness!). So, if anybody is reading this please do consider reading the "My Sister the Vampire" series, books 1-6: Switched, Fangtastic, Re-Vamped, Vamplicious, Take Two, and Love Bites! Trust me, reading these books isn't going to waste several weeks of your life, it's going to make your 'several weeks' be even better! This book is just picture perfect!

This was a fangtastic book! Of course not much changed except for the fact that a (anoying) news reporter tried to prove that vampires exist! Yes, this reporter's name was Serena Star and her "motto" was, "The star of truth must shine!" (lame) Anyway, throughout this book Serena keeps snooping around and seeing evidence. As good as this news is no one can find out! It's the First Law of Night (no vampires are allowed to tell humans that they really truely exist). Even though Ms.Star knows real facts, Ivy and (her twin) Olivia have to trow her off track. If they do this then, hopefully, she won't spill a word. Oh, no no no. THey must not know who she is, because Serena will fight to the end, just to get the truth out there! This is going to be a lot of work for a couple of teens. Luckly, they have their friends on their side (since some are vampires). Coming up with plans is not so easy with a news reporter sneaking around every corner.Yes, in the end Serena Star turns out looking crazy infront of the (LiVE!) camera, trying to get Ivy to cough up the truth. Serena Star, being a desparate lunatic, gives Ivy a glass of holy water and holding out the bible(thinking that she'll burn into a million pieces), like that's going to happen (only happens in movies and it's a myth). Luckly before Serena used even more anti-vampire stuff, Olivia and Ivy (being identica twins) switch places (while Serena is distracted) and fool Ms.Star once and for all (Olivia had to even eat garlic, disguised as Ivy, to prove to Serena that vampires don't exist, and that it's all in her head). Like a four-leaf clover, the sisters ha good luck, because the secret was never told on the news after all.

I thought this is book was literally packed with surprises and cameras in the pages (Serena Star is a lady who believes that the truth must be heard, and won't let anything get in her way if it doesn't). Keeping secrets isn't isn't a really hard thing to do. It's having to trick people to think that there is no secret. 'Hide', that would be a nice word to describe what Olivia and Ivy have to do (DON'T TELL ANY ONE THAT VAMPiRES EXIST!). But, that sneaky sneaky, news lady just doesn't give up without a fight. It's actually funny at some things the charactes in this book have to do to trick Serena Star. Especially, when it's all fake and she falls for it. What a book!
