A little boy imagines he lives in a topsy-turvy town, where broccoli rains down on umbrellas, chocolate cars have pineapple wheels, the buildings get up and take a walk whenever they are asked to and a neighbour’s dog plays a tuba instead of barking when he wants a walk in the park.But no one believes in the little boy's upside down world except his mom.

The text of this picture book is well suited for young children. The vocabulary is simple and easy to understand. Sentences are fairly short. However, the title of this book, which includes the unusual words “Topsy-Turvy,” may need some explanation.

The illustrations of the picture book are vibrant and unusual full of imagination such as walking building, broccoli raining and chocolate cars. In addition, the use of muted colour and bold imagery should appeal to young children.… (más)
