Jeanie Mebane

Jeanie Mebane's "At the Marsh in the Meadow" introduces the wildlife that lives in the marsh near the meadow. Each page, she creates the style of the book, by building off from one line and adding to the first line in the following pages, showing the viewer the food chain of the animals and insects. This is a good book for 1st and 2nd graders to introduce the concept of food chain.
