History fluff. It was written by a college professor who tries too hard to be hip. I'm sorry, but that's not how Warren G. Harding "rolls". I don't know how much of the stories are true; I've heard a few different explanations as to why Andrew Jackson was called Old Hickory, for example. (My favorite one -- not in this book -- had something to do with his drinking habits. Like all early Americans, he was a complete lush. Which is true, but I'm not sure that's where the nickname came from. There are just too many conflicting stories.) The book was really short. Took me less than an hour to read the whole thing. I got it for $1.99 (I think) on Kindle, and it wasn't even worth that price.… (más)
