This is a set of reprints from the British Air Raid Precautions Dept. originally compiled to deal with the London Blitz and reprinted in the US after they entered World War II. This covers a wide range of basic civil defense measures. Many of these precautions are still part of basic civil defense planning, as the after effects of a Category 5 tornado or hurricane aren't that much different from those of aerial bombardment. I found this fascinating reading.
