Charmingly illustrated by Bob Stuhmer, young readers will delight in Franklin's transformation and cheer him on as he follows
"doctor's orders" and learns that the biggest reward for all that hard work is a happier, healthier him. Early Reader; Ages 5-8.
Readers will find basic nutritional information; ideas for safe exercising; tips on how to eat right no matter where they are; and lots of other kid-specific information on food, fitness and feeling great.

Children should be encouraged to take part in more physical activities such as sports and going out more. Doing this will ensure (if they eat properly) that they will be burning more calories than they are eating, therefore keeping the weight off.

Obesity is a condition that can shorten your life and can seriously affect you mentally and physically. It often has its roots in childhood. Obesity in children is growing at a frighteningly fast rate. There are more obese children now than ever before. Parents are letting their carelessness with their own diets spill over into their children’s lives.

With this book it can give your child the encouragements needed by reading Franklin’s journey to being healthier and losing weight. He is a good example for them. They can understand better how to be healthy.

I was given this book from NetGalley and Schiffer Publishing.
