I took the time to look at this monograph because the examination of "Dugout Doug" from the Japanese perspective seemed like it had potential. However, I can't say that the execution was really that great. The main thing that I take away from this book is that it demonstrates that MacArthur is still venerated by a significant element of the Japanese public; mostly in regards to the "Peace" Constitution.
