Wisdom when facing sorrow and loss of memory of the people and experiences we hold dear is offered. The treasures in this book are most likely to be found when it is read thoughtfully. No quick fixes. No easily implemented to-do lists. There are, no doubt, more up-to-date resources for educating oneself on the latest findings from research on Alzheimer's disease, however this is as good as any and better then most in dealing with the human and spiritual side of experiencing dementia or caring for someone who is.… (más)

As a middle-aged man with a mother with Alzheimer's, I found this book to be extremely practical as I attempt to be her caregiver. As a pastor, I found a great resource for preaching and teaching God's care for us even when we can't remember Him. I highly recommend this book!
