This booklet traces the emergence of the **Missio Dei** concept from the 1910 Edinburgh World Missionary Conference, and how this is becoming an authoritative concept even in ecumenical circles. Rowan Williams' quote is a good summary: Christian mission is "finding out where the Holy Spirit is at work and joining in."

The authors show how local Councils of Churches have become largely overtaken by Churches Together organsiations, and shows how there are many now where joint mission is the focus, not on unity for the sake of it. Giving some useful examples from "Rugby Revive", they show how this togetherness-in-mission can bear fruit. "Mission-Shaped Unity" indeed.

Only 4 stars, as chapter 5 didn't feel it added much, and I would have liked to see more examples from where this sort of unity is happening, and what we can do to foster it more.
