I only read the first 11% of this book and I was bothered by two things: 1) "He gave himself a good scratching on the ass and around the crotch area...." Ummm....do we really need to know exactly where he scratches himself?
2) Gestas's attitude when Jesus Christ promises that the two robbers would be with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven. I'm sorry but his response ("I'm gonna pass on that one, J.C.") just rubs me the wrong way. As a Christian, I just can't bring myself to continue this book after that kind of scene.

After these two incidents, I just don't have a good feeling about the rest of the book and I'm afraid I'll end up hating it more than I do now. Amazon describes this book as a "romantic comedy" and "humorous," but I don't find this funny.
