Sandra Maitri is the author of The Spiritual Dimension of the Enneagram. She was a member of the first group of U.S. students to learn the enneagram system from Chilean psychiatrist Claudio Naranjo, almost three decades ago. In addition to her work with Naranjo, she has studied with various Eastern mostrar más and Western spiritual and psychological teachers, including A. H. Almaas, founder of the contemporary spiritual path known as the Diamond Approach. She teaches hundreds of students each year in the United States and Europe. This is a good exploration of the Enneagram. Sandra Maitri participated at the beginning when Claudio Naranjo introduced Americans to the personality type analysis that had been developed by him and a little earlier by Oscar Ichazo. Following A.H. Almaas, Maitri concentates on the descrbing the Holy Ideas of the Enneagram, giving a different angle than those who look more at passions and fixation. She also describes the body types that go with each Enneagram number.
