This book is about a rabbit who loves to read, but when the rabbit gets caught up with his need to read more books, he starts doing the wrong thing. This book teaches the readers that even if someone loves something so much, they do not have the right to take someone else's. The illustration in this book is very interactive and just as much fun to read, as the story is.

Ralfy is a reading rabbit! This makes him different from his other rabbit friends who enjoy eating carrots and lettuce all day. He enjoys learning new things and discovering new books. Ralfy keeps track of the books he has read, which books are his favorite, and the books he wants to read. He loves books so much that he starts to steal them! He took comic books, cookbooks, and even dictionaries. Arthur, another lover of books, started noticing that some of his favorite books were going missing. He decided to set a trap and catch this book thief. He tied a book on a string and waited. He heard a rustle and shined his flashlight and saw Ralfy! He tried telling his mom, his teacher, and even Officer Puddle, but no one believed him. Ralfy had found another house to take books from, but little did he know that it was Officer Puddle's house. Officer Puddle called Arthur to come the next morning to identity the "bunny book thief." When Arthur pointed at Ralfy, he began to cry saying he was sorry and that he couldn't get enough books! Arthur could relate to loving books and decided to have mercy on Ralfy. He brought Ralfy to the library and showed him all the books he could BORROW. They became "book buddies" and continued to read and return their books from their favorite place, the library. This book shows kids that it is okay to love things, like books, but it is not okay to take things without permission. I would read this book to kindergarden-2rd grade before I would take them to our school library.… (más)
