Rae and Griffin have an immediate attraction that neither can fight but Rae has been burned before by exes who she has rushed into things with. Rae doesn’t want to rush things with Griffin but she can’t deny that there is something so much more about their chemistry and Griffin is willing to show her. This book is a fast paced read with instant attraction that leads to more and what I liked is how they were willing to fight for it to see what would come of it. Griffin hasn’t had it easy as a firefighter who lost a lot and now is thrown into a new station with guys who are not to pleased he’s there but one of those hotheads turns out to be Rae’s overprotective brother can they stand the heat or will they crumble before they even really start? Very good read and can’t wait to see what will happen next.… (más)

Adam is a man that has been through a terrible thing in his life and it has permanently left scars on the inside as well the outside. He is a broody guy that can’t run from his past, the guilt, and anger. So, when he moves to a new to town to try to start over, he never expects Maddie his overly cheerful neighbor to break down the walls he has created. Maddie is a sweetheart that wants to follow her passion in dance but with her family not supporting her she feels as if she as if her dreams will never come true, but she is hopeful and caring. Maddie somehow starts to break down Adam’s moody demeanor and they slowly build a friendship of sorts and things seem to be going well but will Adam’s insecurities and demons that haunt him always stand in the way of what could possibly be more for them? I loved their story and seeing Adam slowly get life back in him while Maddie started chasing her dreams.… (más)

Gage and Frankie have a history that ended with broken hearts for both them and a lifetime of regret. The day that Frankie’s life changed forever when a fire broke destroying her bakery is the day that Gage saves her and is back for good. Gage knows he messed up years ago and he has a lot of apologizing and groveling to do, but his main goal is to get Frankie back in his life. Gage and Frankie both have changed over the years and Frankie doesn’t want to see how much of a great guy Gage really is but its hard to do when she meets his adopted daughter. These two have so much chemistry and tension but they have a long road to gain the trust back they once had. This book was one of my favorites in the series and the characters new and old are all amazing. This will be a reread for me to go back and enjoy.… (más)

I have read more than my fair share of the books that have been released in the huge task also known as the Cocky Hero World, and this is one of my favorites. It is also one that had I just picked up this book without realizing that it was part of this world that I wouldn't have known. Granted I get the side characters that helped create the spinoff but it felt as if it was from its own world and to me that was impressive.

I enjoyed watching Sebastian and Mia as they explored, fought, and accepted this connection between them. There were moments of vulnerability, stubbornness, and insight. I loved seeing how that turned into more as both of these characters went from a life that seemed dominated by a strong work ethic into one where they realized they could depend on each other.
