Fun book almost reads like a mystery. Two vampires awaken handcuffed together. While another is in assless chaps in a sling. This is all after the wedding reception of one of their friends. Now there our to find out what happened. Was it the caterer who also doesn't remember anything. The gang of 5 drag queen Chers. Or could it be someone/something else.

Prelim Review: Considering I spent quite a few months eagerly wanting to read this book--even though I haven't read anything else by Kathy Love--this was less engaging and interesting then I thought it would be. The ending in specific kind of made my eye twitch because it was very...anti-climatic.

We start off and a group of vampires don't remember the night before. One has gotten married to a newly made vampire and another finally admits to his feelings for his band manager. Also there was apparent suicide of one of the band mates at the start of the book. Was an ok book, read about like a mystery with some hilarious moments and graphic sexual escapes thrown in.

A wonderful book about realistic people with realistic problems. The heroine, Ellie, is a shy librarian. Why are librarians always shy? Seriously is no one else ever shy? Perhaps a veterinarian's assistant or a dispersing clerk? But I digress. Anyhoo, she is a nice woman who has had a crush on the high school hottie, Mason, for years. Mason is divorced and is now the mayor of the small town where they grew up. He is an alcoholic who is in denial. They start a relationship which is eventually sabotaged by his drinking.

Well written with well developed characters. Good dialog, good pacing. All around, a joy to read.

Christian feels he has a lot to make up for, but is not sure how to atone for them. Jolee has the worst luck in men — both in love and in her family. They come from totally different worlds, but the solution for their problems could be right to front of them.½

So, that wasn't great. The kindle version is pretty poorly formatted. It's also very heavy handed. After all, us readers are far too stupid to understand that this couple feel a mysterious pull to each other if you don't have both characters say it twice within 2 pages of poorly spaced text. The heroine's traits seemed to change on a whim to whatever sounded cool at the moment. Not just between the "ladylike" human and "wild" wolf. She's also the world's worst scientist doing alleged research in a barn with a lab that sounds like a Halloween prop. Except for when she's the world's least convincing former wolf-pack/biker gang member. Not even sure why I finished this book except that sadly, I have read worse, and I guess I was bored. :/

1st story by Lori Foster - Roy and Sabrina lived next door to each other when they were kids. He from good parents and her left with a drug addicted, abusive father. When she was 15 and Roy 19 her father sold her to a drug dealer for a fix. Roy and his family witnessed Sabrina being dragged out of her house in the middle of a raging thunderstorm by the dealer and intervened. After this Roy's family got custody of Sabrina and he was in love with her but she was to fragile at that time. At 25 she still has emotional breakdowns when there is a thunderstorm and runs over to Roy's place and he holds her until the storm passes. Sabrina works in social services with kids with no home and Roy is a vet that also runs a shelter for animals. Roy decides it time to tell Sabrina his feelings. This was a very sweet love story.
2nd story by Erin McCarthy - This is a very short story that basically tells us about Sara Parker, the woman that had a one night stand with Evan Monroe and got pregnant in the book The Chase. We find out that she lived in foster homes her whole life and never thought she was good enough even for her best friend Travis who she left behind when she ran. It starts off with her being honest with Evan and saying she doesnt know who the father is and not liking what she had become and decides to go home - back to Travis to find herself. Travis has been in love with Sara since they were kids. They both were in the foster care system. He doesnt take sex lightly where as she went the opposite way. But Travis makes her see she is worth of love and he wants to marry her and be the father of her baby..
3rd story by Sylvia Day - Jack Killigrew works for the US Marshal Service - more specifically with the Shadow Stalker unit. He is a loner coming from the foster care system and believes his job will keep him from the one thing he wants desperately, Rachel. Rachel is a widowed mother whom Jack was good friends with her husband Steve and he made a promise to look out for her and her son should something ever happen to Steve. Jack has been in love with Rachel from the start but never told anyone. Rachel is a different person since her husband died - she loved her husband and the person she was with him but since he dies she had to become stronger and more independent and knows what she wants and that is Jack. So she sets up a hardcore seduction scene which Jack tries to fight (for her own good of course - men are so stupid sometimes) This story was the main reason I bought this book - Jack and Rachel were in the Men out of Uniform anthology in Brian and Layla story and I just had to read there story after meeting them.

Overall was a good book. Is the 2nd in a trilogy for the Young brothers, a set of three brothers who are all vampires. This one has the middle brother Christian trying to wean himself off of feeding from humans and become more human in and of itself. He's basically following a 12 step program that he has developed himself and has taped to his refrigerator. The book starts with him living in a low rent trailer park and complaining about the neighbors whirly gigs and other yard ornaments. He comes to the rescue of one of his neighbors who is being assaulted. After nearly hitting this same neighbor with his car they begin a trial friendship which turns to something more. He starts helping in her karaoke bar which doesn't really play karaoke. After a run in with an ex-boyfriend where Christian again comes to her aid is when their friendship turns to something more. After becoming lovers she learns the true nature of Christian and believes him to be crazy.

At times the book is very funny and enjoyable at other time it's almost tedious. Once their friendship turns into lovers I kept thinking that the author had a fetish for outdoors sex. It's not terribly graphic, it just happens repeatedly and really doesn't advance the story

A woman who joins a society of vampires that are pro-human rights and freedom, goes undercover into a nightclub in order to bring down her boss and his evil ways. But the hero is anything but evil. Sure he's a womanizer and flirt but he's kind to his employees and allows them to speak to him in ways I couldn't imagine speaking to by boss. The heroine is skittish after her traumatizing turning, she's pale from surviving on animal blood and she's not a very good spy. She tries to bring the club down by setting off the sprinklers and turning rats free and calling the health department but both fall miserably and in comical fashion. The hero is immediately drawn to the woman who is far from his type he questions his sanity. She does run very hot and cold, which she admits to and the hero is understanding to a point but gets frustrated sometimes as well. She knows nothing about vampires despite being on herself for a hundred years and the hero swears off biting humans if she always him to show her how fun her life can be. It was a cute story. The hero seems like this bad boy at first but he doesn't like arguing and allows the heroine to come to terms with her feelings even though he wants her so badly. I really liked this book.

New author for me and I quite liked the book. The concept (Rhys's 'ailment') is smart and funny. The only - small - quibble I have, is that his brother Sebastian played such a big role in the book, that he almost overshadowed Rhys and I got the feeling I knew him better than Rhys.

Passable, but I'm not reviewing it. The most interesting part is that the main character is a paranormal writer.

This was a typical romance. I read these in between more serious books to cleanse my palate, but am almost always disappointed. If the characters would just talk to each other the book would be much shorter...

Tristan, the new top editor at Hot Magazine is a demon of lust and is now in charge of the demon takeover through the fashion industry that Satan has planned. He’s thrown for a loop by his attraction and obsession with his personal assistant, and doesn’t see that it’s taken his focus away from the takeover.

Georgia is a voluptuous plus-size woman who is in lust with her boss, but can’t believe this great looking guy who could have any woman would be interested in her, especially when surrounded by fashion models.

Light-hearted and humorous tale as two likeable characters fumble over their thoughts and feelings while two opposing factions want their cooperation. The characters and situations are definitely fun, even though Alzheimers with a secondary character is addressed.

There is a great deal of self-doubt on Georgia’s part, and while realistic, it does get old and makes the story drag a bit. But when things work out – and hey, it’s a romance so you know it will – it makes it that much sweeter. I do like the resolution, which is quite a bit different than the first book.½

An entertaining paranormal story although after the bizarre opening event there was not a lot of action. It was fun following two romances and I liked all the characters but I did get the heroes mixed up sometimes. At their vampire band friends wedding Johnny gets handcuffed to Lizette and caterer Josie ends up wearing Drakes shirt.

This paranormal romance had a pretty entertaining plot setup and started right off steamy but there was not much action in the story. I do like when the male pursues the female and two love interests was nice. When Stella's brother dies, Wyatt says he'll be there for her and Katie has turned vampire so Cort helps her adjust.
