Roy is a character which I fell for right from the first. He is a bit rough around the edges but he gradually begins to loosen up (who wouldn’t in this beautiful state!). I love how his plans change the longer he stays and how love just might be in the cards.

I love a good family mystery this novel has one of the bests! PLUS…the great setting of Hawaii!

I enjoyed this light hearted read. It had mystery, family history and the lovely scenery of Hawaii. Roy has had the shock of his life when a lawyer calls and lets him know he is the sole owner of his grandparents beach house in Hawaii. This is quite shocking to him, as he was a foster child and believed he had no blood family left, or anyone that cared to know him. No one ever reached out to him before, so how is this anything other than mistaken identity. They have the wrong Roy. Leaving his hometown of London he heads to Hawaii to get to the bottom of what this is all about. But weeks later, he is still in Hawaii, has fallen in love with the place, made many friends in the community and has learned more about his family than he could have ever imagined and there is just one mystery to be solved before he decides if he wants to keep this place or offload it to the first bidder. This was a cozy beach read. I enjoyed it being lighthearted and yet having some mystery about his family woven in. I also enjoyed learning a bit about Hawaii's culture and beliefs.
