I support some of his arguments, disagree with others, but this is a really badly presented, boring book which didn’t need to be written. CEO of Dow arguing for government pro-business intervention. Many being boring (“improve education”), others more controversial (desire for active government industrial R&D policy like Japan in the 80s?). Badly written and argued and generally just bad.

Good book, sensible economic policies about manufacturing, business-govt. cooperation, education, immigration. Shame they're being passed over.
