The value of this book depends on one's perspective. If you are expecting a serious and detailed narrative of European history then forget it, this book is not for you. If you have very little knowledge of European history and need a concise primer then this may prove to be a valuable read. This book introduces history the way a clever Junior High School teacher would, full of cutesy pop references that introduce key concepts and events of European history.
