Joon is nervous to start kindergarten. It doesn't make it any easier when everyone at school mistakes her for a boy! At home, she discovers her sister's headband that makes her look like a girl. When she wears it to school the next day, she has a wonderful time and makes lots of friends. When her sister takes the headband back, Joon is worried that everyone will make fun of her again. When they don't, she realizes that appearances aren't important and comes to love school. Perfect reading for a child preparing to start school. Illustrations continue story beyond the words and include a mix between full page pictures and single drawings on a white background. Great for multiculturalism as well.
