I was a bit sniffy when I started reading this biography: it was all over the place but then, I realised that this very much reflected Mo's life.
Having got over my prejudices, this was an excellent book; it both evoked the Mo Mowlam that the public (e.g. me) knew and got behind the public image. Julia Langdon manages to remain a friend to Mo and be honest about her faults - not something that many biographers achieve.
I really enjoyed this book but, in the interests of balance, I will make one complaint: it was too short - I did not want it to end!… (más)
