I made it to page 30 before running to the bathroom to puke.

Not True.

I made it to page 60.

OK, so admittedly I’m dramatizing my opinion on this book a bit. But it really did turn me off so quickly I never made it much past the first half of the book. So apologies to Mr. Kolendra if the second half bears no resemblance (ergo no relation to its poor quality) to the first.

Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and ignore his writing style. Like many authors what comes across as arrogance could very well be inexperience (not knowing how he is coming across in print), insecurity (trying to be clever or funny to allay criticism of whatever his real style is) or just poor advice (perhaps an editor, publisher or his dad give him some ill-conceived guidance). Saying he's a mind reader and bragging about his extensive familiarity with academic studies right out of the gate only persuaded me to question his respect for his readers. As I read on, I did become fairly convinced he's probably a nice guy who is just a bit awkward and should have let strangers read his tone before writing the whole book.

But let’s put that aside...
